First trials of Admiral 55 Hybrid
On 22 November, the first tests of hydrodynamic resistance of the hull of the yacht Admiral 55 Hybrid were conducted in the Seakeeping and Manoeuvring Basin of MARIN – the Maritime Research Institute which is one of the leading institutes in the world for hydrodynamic research and maritime technology.
Almost 5.5 meter long hull model with the top quality finish was built to obtain the highest precision. Down the line, the model will be equipped with additional main hull appendages: propulsion equipment, stabilizing skeg devices, rudder blades, and finally – the superstructure.
According to the Vripack and the MARIN engineers, the initial tests have proved that the hull can be assessable as very good showing rather flawless performance. The next test sequence will take place in late January.
